I´ve written in a variety of arenas for many years including countless types of corporate documents, training materials, and a few magazine articles. Currently, I am a full-time stay at home wife to Mike, and mom to our son Matthew (born 2004), adoptive daughter Mariella (born 2008) and the foster children that come in and out of our lives. When I am not tending to them, I am writing for pleasure and for hire.
Cleaning is a topic near and dear to my heart. When I was a child, the only thing I could control was cleanliness. It grew into becoming the "go to" girl for all things clean and organized. Truly, I find it a great challenge to remove a particularly difficult stain or to find a "system" of cleaning and organizing that works for a friend in need. I actually read books... about cleaning.
In my recent years, seeing how external factors have affected my son´s health and development has driven me to find more natural ways to clean. Being with my family and handling foster children has honed my division of housekeeping labor gently, fairly and with the involvement of the family--right down to the 4-year-old. Even though I am a stay-at-home parent, there are many good reasons for everyone to be involved in keeping home.
