I am Sabira Woolley, and I have been making a living as a musician for more than 20 years. Here I will share what I have learned and am still learning about performing, getting gigs, recording, writing songs, promoting yourself as an artist, and all kinds of information for professional and aspiring to be professional musicians.
I am a vocalist, and play steel pan, guitar, 5-string banjo, and hand percussion. I am fortunate to work with many excellent musicians. I love sharing warm camaraderie, and am constantly inspired while playing with them. It is great fun!
I have traveled and performed throughout California, the Caribbean, Western Canada, Mexico, Greece, Ireland, France, and Hawaii, and have a wide appreciation for music from many cultures. I love good music of pretty much any genre, and have been performing in many styles including Jazz, World, Trop-Rock, Folk, New Age, Reggae, Calypso, Soca, Salsa, Pop, Oldies, Showtunes, Swing, Country, and more.

I welcome your feedback, questions and topic suggestions.
I live in the rocky hills of southern California, not far from the ocean. When I am not playing music, I am usually reading, writing, loving nature, and playing with our varying numbers of Savannah cats and Coton De Tulear dog.
