Chapter 14 Order of the Phoenix: Percy and Padfoot. Harry decides to try to write Sirius a coded message to talk about the Umbridge and the scar-troubles he's been having. He takes it up to the owlery and talks to Cho, and barely gets the message off before Filch shows up wanting to confiscate it.
A Daily Prophet report makes Harry and Hermoine think that Lucius Malfoy really did see Sirius on the railroad platform. They also read that Sturgis Podmore was caught trespassing at the Ministry of Magic.
The team goes out to practice Quidditch and the Slytherins are there to harass them. Ron gets a long letter from Percy in essence saying that Dumbledore is wrong, that Percy and Fudge are right and that Ron should stay away from Harry.
Harry then sees Sirius in the fire and the three talk to him. Sirius says that Harry's scar aching is just that Voldemort is having strong emotions and doesn't have to do with situations around Harry. Sirius also says that Fudge worries that Dumbledore is training an army to take over the Ministry with.
Harry asks Sirius not to take any more risks, and Sirius says sadly that Harry's *father*, James, would have enjoyed the risks. That Harry is a bit tame next to his fun father.
