True Colors Shining Through...

True Colors Shining Through...
Each of us is the sum of many colors, our true colors that lie below the surface that we just don’t allow others to see. They are hidden there, both our darkest colors and our lightest and brightest colors, ready to come shining through. They are the colors that show who we really are when they break through. It’s always our hope that the dark colors will be subdued and overcome by all the light and bright hues because it’s always our hope that the sum of our many colors will win out over the darkest hues and moods and things that we do.

Our true colors have to be activated. They are activated by the things that we do and the things that we say – to our family and our friends and those that we profess to love and care about. They are triggered by our moods and our basic goodness or lack of goodness.

So what are your true colors? Are they light and bright, or soft and pastel, or as dark as the obsidian night sky? Let’s think about that a bit.

Do you try to help other people, show your love and concern to those you are closest to, and spread good feelings all around you? Do you keep you promises, care for those who depend on you, and make unselfish choices? If so, your true colors are probably light and bright when they shine through.

Do you often break promises, tell lies and cause others to feel bad because of the things you do and say to them? If so, your true colors are probably dark and dismal when they shine through. Do you always think that it doesn’t matter how you act because you seem to manage to get by without too much skin off your back even when you behave badly? Consider this fact. You’re the one who thinks the other guy or girl always gets caught behaving badly while you skate by. Well, eventually your luck WILL run out because to the other guy or girl you’re the other guy or girl… Your luck will run out if your words and actions earn you bad karma.

Give some thought to the fact that we all have the opportunity to choose to look within ourselves for those lighter, brighter true colors and to make them shine by your words and your actions and by the way you treat other people. While we all have some dark days where our dark colors bubble to the surface, we can choose to alter our words and actions to coax the lighter and brighter ones to rise above them.

You never have to regret adding lightness and brightness to the world like you have to regret causing heartache and pain. Close your eyes and try to visualize your true colors based on your most recent behavior. Now do what you have to do to make sure that your true colors that shine through going forward are as light and bright as multicolored fireworks in the sky that rise above the darkness of night and brighten the world.

Each and every one of us has the ability and the power to choose to control our words and our actions and therefore we choose our true colors that shine through for everyone to see. A person who does not choose to make good choices eventually will lose the option to choose to make them instead of bad ones that follow them forever… and the things you do today will be your memories of tomorrow. Will they be light and bright or dark and sad? The choice is yours to make! Kw

Until next time, have a warm heart but be COOL! Be happy, be well, and be the best you that you can be!

Best Regards,
