Informational Sites for Attention Deficit Disorder

How would you rate your knowledge of Attention Deficit Disorder? Have you studied it for quite a while? Do you have favorite websites to go to find information? If you needed to recommend a website for somebody new to Attention Deficit Disorder, where would you send them? Here is an annotated list of some of my favorite informational websites about ADD. They provide authoritative information that you can count on to be accurate.

Medline Plus-portal to the National Institutes of Mental Health ADHD Site
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/attentiondeficithyperactivitydisorder.html

From basic information to the latest clinical trials, this site will provide you with a comprehensive list of clickable sites relating to Attention Deficit Disorder. Some of the information is also in Spanish.

Science Daily-search for Attention Deficit Disorder
http://www.sciencedaily.com/

This site specializes in cutting edge scientific information. They have articles on studies about Attention Deficit Disorder. There is also a service that will e-mail you the link to articles about ADD/ADHD as they come out. It is one of my favorite places to get article ideas.

CHADD-Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
http://www.chadd.org/

CHADD offers a membership option, but they also have great information that is free on their website. Of particular interest to families with college bound students or young adults who want to go to college is their Young Adult with ADHD section. It is filled with resources for fostering college success for students with ADD/ADHD. Many of these are available only to members.

National Resource Center on ADHD-A program of CHADD-
http://www.help4adhd.org/

This is one of the best comprehensive websites for information about ADD/ADHD. Information about adult ADD is sparse. However, this site has a great section about adult ADD/ADHD. There is a review of the site in the Reviews section of the BellaOnline ADD site.

Attention Deficit Disorder Association-
http://www.add.org/

This website seeks to let people acquire the tools that they need to lead strength-based lives. There are webcasts, webinars and podcasts. They include some of their resources in Spanish. There is a review of the site in the Reviews section of the BellaOnline ADD site.

LDOnline-
http://www.ldonline.org/

LDOnline is the grandpappy of the Internet sites to provide information about Attention Deficit Disorder. While they donít deal exclusively with ADD/ADHD, they do have over 2, 000 articles about it. There is a review of the site in the Reviews section of the BellaOnline ADD site

While a bit of the information in the sites presented here is commercial, I strive to provide you with reliable information that isnít linked to a particular product or group selling services. There is a lot of information to be discovered on the Internet. Some of it is great, but there is a lot of junk out there. You wonít find junk on these websites.

Finally, I want the BellaOnline Attention Deficit Disorder Site to be a place where you can come to find quality information about the many aspects of Attention Deficit Disorder. I will always provide you with information that I find interesting, relevant, and informative. My articles will be as accurate as I can make them. Each article will have links at the end to let you learn more about my current subject or a related topic. I will maintain a forum to answer your questions and serve your needs. Thatís my promise to you. Itís what we do at BellaOnline.
