Children's Books Review : Daisy Says "Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush"

Daisy Says “Here We Go ‘Round the Mulberry Bush” is by Jane Simmons. It is for ages 0 - 4. It is a cardboard book. The thick pages are excellent for figures with little motor skills.

Daisy is a yellow duckling with a constant smile. Like young human babies, she is curious about the world around her.

Jane Simmons’s text is to be sung to the melody of “Here We Go ‘Round the Mulberry Bush” Every two pages tell of a new animal Daisy meets on her walk. She and your child learn new animals. Butterflies fly around a mulberry bush. Daisy bounces while she runs. The bee flaps his wings.

Your child will love this book. He can fly around the room. He can bounce and flap his arms. The melody is familiar to the child.

Use the book to teach the child the names of animals. On another level, it teaches the child different physical activities. And thirdly, it teaches songs. And most of all, it teaches the child the way to go to sleep.
