Cleaning Schedule

Cleaning Schedule
There are ways to make keeping your house clean more easily accomplished. One of the most efficient ways is to actually have a Daily Routine. There are jobs that you can add in WEEKLY or MONTHLY, but the most important thing is to get started on DAILY jobs.

Certain things have to be done DAILY in order for you house to actually be clean. One of the best things to do is make your bed every morning. If you can get your children to make their own, that would be a great life skill / tool for them to acquire. This will automatically make your bedrooms look and feel clean.

Here is a Suggested Routine:

Sundays - Day of Rest. Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do leftover laundry. Use this day to do things you normally don't get to do.

Mondays - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; Deep Clean of Bathrooms - top to bottom.

Tuesdays - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; Quick Dusting - all flat surfaces.

Wednesdays - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; Vacuum carpeted floors.

Thursdays - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; mop non-carpet floors.

Friday - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; declutter the "drop zone / Launch pad" of your home - this is the spot that accumulates mail, things from the vehicle, etc. CATCH UP DAY - use this day to catch up with anything you haven't done yet.

Saturdays - Make beds, quick pick up of floors, wipe counters, take out trash, do at least one complete load of laundry - from start to finish; Wash all bedding and towels. This is a great day to wash your cleaning rags, too.

However big or small your living spaces are, a daily schedule of CLEAN is just what the doctor ordered!

Make it a great one!
