CHASK is a nonprofit Christian organization consisting of families willing to counsel birth parents that are expecting special-needs babies and help so that the babies can remain with their birth families. For those birth parents who, for whatever reasons, feel they are unable to parent, CHASK helps the birth parents find loving homes, with parents often experienced in caring for special-needs children.
CHASK charges no fees to birth parents or adoptive parents. The adoptions are private, so adoptive families must have an approved homestudy and an adoption attorney ready to proceed once a match is made. Since CHASK is a Christian ministry, adoptive families are required to describe their faith.
