Ways You Can Help Our Troops
Guest Author - Pam Garlick

I have been so moved by the things people are doing for our troops I thought I should list some of them. The research for my articles let me to several sites and I thought it would be nice to share some of them with you, just in case you or someone you know, wants to find a way you can help. Not all of them require donations; but all of them certainly require our gratitude for jumping in and doing what they can.

You can send free post cards to members of the military. These cards are designed by school children throughout the US.

After losing her beloved pet, Sharon needed to do something positive to keep from sinking into a depression. The results have been her sending packages to our troops in Iraq. She created Operation We Care. However, you don’t have to send her money if you don’t want, Sharon provides information how you can send things on your own.

This information from author Sarah Smiley provides links to several other sites where you can do something special for our troops or their families. You get to choose which one you want to do, or do them all. The choice is up to you.

The USO is helping members of our troops phone home with Operation Phone Home, where people can help with the purchase of phone cards.

Another list of links to support troops and their families can be found at Support Our Troops
