Young Cam Jansen and the Library Mystery #7

David A. Adler is the author of Young Cam Jansen and the Library Mystery #7. It is part of the Puffin Easy to Read Series. The book is for children between the ages five and seven-years-old. It is for children making the transition from picture books to early reader chapter books. Young Cam Jansen and the Library Mystery #7 has thirty-two pages and five short chapters.

Cam is the age of the target reader. Young Cam is a elementary school student whose real name is Jennifer. Cam is short for “the camera.” She is able to record viewed scenes. Young Cam uses the ability to help others.

In Young Cam Jansen and the Library Mystery #7, Cam’s father misplaces the grocery list. After visiting the library, she and her father go to the grocery store. Cam’s friend, Eric Shelton, is with them. Cam cannot recall the items because she never read the list. They must find the list!

Young Cam recalls several scenes in the library and the car to help her father. Soon Dad has the shopping list and they are shopping for the listed items. Young Cam Jansen and the Library Mystery #7 teaches children to observe the surrounding world. Also, children learn to think logically. They like Cam can solve mysteries by using observations. Cam is a young Sherlock Holmes.

David A. Adler ends Young Cam and the Library Mystery #7 with a Cam Jansen Memory Game. The game tests children's powers of observation. The reader looks at a Susanna Natti illustration for a few moments. Afterwards, there are questions to answer based on their observations. It is a fun game.

Young Cam Jansen and the Ice Skate Mystery, Young Cam Jansen and the Baseball Mystery and Young Cam Jansen and the Pizza Shop Mystery are the second trio of books in the Young Cam Jansen Mystery Books Series. Join Young Cam Jansen on her earlier adventures.
