Peanut Butter Frosting

Peanut Butter Frosting

This recipe makes enough to generously frost a 9" - 2 layer cake, a 9" x 13" cake, or 2 dozen cupcakes.

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk

Preparation -
With an electric mixer at medium speed, beat the shortening and peanut butter together until light and fluffy. Add half of the confectioners' sugar and half of the milk; beat well. Add the remaining sugar and milk and beat until creamy. Add a small amount of additional milk, if needed, to reach a good spreading consistency.
