Dr Seuss - The Foot Book

Dr Seuss - The Foot Book
The Foot Book: Dr Seuss's Wacky Book of Opposites by Dr. Seuss is a great picture book to introduce daycare and preschool kids to an important body part - the foot. He introduces children to their left and right foot with his rhymes.

Also, in The Foot Book: Dr Seuss's Wacky Book of Opposites, he introduces children to opposite words(antonyms). While children learn about feet, he teaches the distinction between the words: front and back. There is other word pair: wet and dry. High and low is another word pair. Up and down is another example.

Dr. Seuss' illustrations are as cute as always. Kids around the world love his whimsical animals. They have been a favorite for years. The bright, fuzzy characters delight beginning readers.

The Foot Book: Dr Seuss's Wacky Book of Opposites uses very simple words. The rhythm of the rhyming text is soothing to daycare and preschool kids. The large text is easy for beginning readers to follow as they listen to the reader. Dr. Seuss' funny poetry captures the juvenile's attention. The pre-literacy book is a great find for a birthday or Christmas book.

Sandra Boynton's Opposites is a children board book. It teaches opposites, also. The little book is perfect for infants and toddlers' small hands.

Oh My Oh My Dinosaurs! is by Sandra Boynton too. It is a board book on opposites for children who love dinosaurs. Remember a sure way to get kids to read is to give them books on their favorite subject.
