Eric Hillís target audience is children between the ages two and five-years-old. He uses large print so they can focus clearly on the words. One simple sentence is on every two pages. The action on the page correlates to the sentence.
Spotís Easter Surprise does not have lift-the-flaps. The board book is eight Ĺ x 6 inches. Thick pages make it easy for small hands to turn the pages. The glossy finish means parents and care givers can easily wipe liquids off the pages. Eric Hillís illustrations have rich colors. Use the colors to reinforce childrenís knowledge of colors. Also, Eric Hillís sentences end with a period or question mark. Older children can learn punctuation.
