Young Cam Jansen and the Spotted Cat Mystery #12

David A. Adler is the author of Young Cam Jansen and the Spotted Cat Mystery #12. A white cat with a spot on its tail is in Young Cam Jansen’s classroom. What is the cat doing there? To whom does it belong? Will Jennifer(Young Cam Jansen) solve the mystery?

Jennifer’s nickname is Cam, short for camera. She has a photographic memory which she uses to solve mysteries. Now her teacher and classmates want the girl detective to discover the spotted cat’s rightful home. She uses her gift and discovers the cat lives in the school. Where does it live in the school? Who is the spotted cat's owner?

Young Cam Jansen and the Spotted Cat Mystery #12 is not the best by David A. Adler. The children adventure book seems as written to meet the publisher’s deadline. Adler places more depth into previous Young Cam mystery books. Mrs. Wayne, the assistant principal, treats Young Cam Jansen as a circus act. Throughout David A. Adler's book, she asks Young Cam to recall this and that. An adult should know not to treat a child like that. Young Cam Jansen and the Missing Cookie is a better book.

Young Cam Jansen and the Spotted Cat Mystery #12 is an early reader chapter book for children between five and eight-years-old. Read the book aloud to the younger kids. Older children can read it on their own. The beginning chapter book has thirty-one pages divided into five chapters. The sentences are short and the dialogue is age appropriate. A Young Cam Jansen memory game is at the back of the book.

The first three books in the Young Cam Jansen Mystery Books Series are Young Cam Jansen and the Dinosaur Game, Young Cam Jansen and the Missing Cookie and Young Cam Jansen and the Lost Tooth. Introduce children to the Young Cam Jansen Mystery Books Series.
