Orange - Cranberry Relish Recipe

Orange - Cranberry Relish

This tart and tangy cranberry - orange relish is a great addiition to any turkey dinner.

  • 1 bag (12-ounce)fresh cranberries
  • 1 large naval orange
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • dash ground cloves
  • dash ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Preparation -
Place the cranberries in a colander and rinse thoroughly under cool running water. Remove any stems, soft or shriveled berries. Cut and
peel the naval orange and divide it into sections. Remove any seeds. Place half the cranberries and half of the orange sections in the bowl of a food processor. Chop coarsely. Pour the mixture into a bowl. Process the remaining cranberries and orange sections. Add to the bowl, then stir in the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill for at least 2 to 3 hours before serving.
