Chipped deli ham is baked with a tangy barbecue sauce for a tasty, hearty hot sandwich. Serve on your favorite large sandwich rolls.

  • 1 T. butter or margarine
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 -1/4 cups ketchup
  • 3 T. apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 -1/2 pounds baked or boiled deli ham, chipped
  • 8 Kaiser rolls or other large sandwich rolls

Preparation -
Melt the butter or margarine in a small skillet. Add the chopped onion and saute until the onion is lightly browned and barely tender. Whisk the ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, and cooked onion together in a mixing bowl. Stir in the chipped deli ham. Pour the ham mixture into a large, greased, shallow baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 325º for 30 minutes, stirring the mixture after about 15 minutes. Serve hot, on crusty sandwich rolls.
