A Happy Formula - Part 2

In what ways do men and women have the same view of their needs for happiness? Both sexes found that health, friendships and financial stability – in that order - were important.

But when it got right down to it, what had the strongest mental effect on a person’s happiness (male or female) was their outlook on life in general, their feelings about their past, their adaptability to the present and their expectations for the future. In other words, a positive, cheerful point of view creates positive, cheerful feelings.

So, for a happy formula, you start with a foundation of an attitude of happiness (just like Abe Lincoln said). Then, you need to take care of your health and see that you have well managed finances. After that, add some good friends and a sprinkling of the other “things” that turn you on (depending on whether you’re a man or a woman.) And that’s it!

According to the research, true happiness can be that easy to create.
