Gelatin Snacks

Gelatin Snacks

Before Jello® introduced Jigglers® recipes, we made "finger jello" snacks for our kids.

Finger Jello

  • 3 boxes (4 serving size) fruit flavor gelatin
  • 4 packets Knox® unflavored gelatin
  • 4 cups boiling water

Preparation -
Place all the gelatin, flavored and unflavored, in a large mixing bowl. Add boiling water and stir until the gelatin is dissolved. Pour into a 9" x 13" baking pan and chill until firm. Place the bottom of the pan in warm water for about 15 seconds. Remove the pan from the water and cut the jello into 1" squares with a kniife or cut it with cookie cutters. After cutting, remove from the pan and store, covered, in the refrigerator.

Jello Jigglers®

  • 2-1/2 cups boiling water
  • 2 boxes (8 serving size) Jello® Gelatin

Preparation -
Place all the gelatin in a large mixing bowl. Add boiling water and stir until the gelatin is dissolved. Pour into a 9" x 13" baking pan and chill until firm - for at least 3 hours. Place the bottom of the pan in warm water for about 15 seconds. Remove the pan from the water and cut the jello into 1" squares with a kniife or cut it with cookie cutters. After cutting, remove from the pan and store, covered, in the refrigerator.

Variations -

Juicy Jigglers®

  • 2 1/2 cups boiling fruit juice
  • 2 boxes (8 serving size) Jello® Gelatin
Prepare as directed above.

Creamy Jigglers®

  • 2-1/2 cups boiling water
  • 2 boxes (8 serving size) Jello® Gelatin - red flavors
  • 1 cup cold 2% milk
  • 1 box (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding

Preparation -
In a large bowl, add boiling water to the gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix. Whisk for about 1 minute. Immediately, pour the pudding mixture into the gelatin. Whisk until well blended. Pour into a 9" x 13" baking pan, then chill until firm. Place the bottom of the pan in warm water for about 15 seconds. Remove the pan from the water and cut the jello into 1" squares with a kniife or cut it with cookie cutters. After cutting, remove from pan and store, covered, in the refrigerator.
