Adventure

These fun adventure games have you exploring worlds, solving puzzles and saving the day.

.hack Infection star
Based on the anime TV show, .hack infection has you, the player, playing a character who is playing an on line multiuser RPG. Talk about layers of gameplay!

.hack Mutation star
This sequel to .hack Infection picks up where the first game left off - and even lets you import your character to continue the adventure!

007 Nightfire - PS2 star
A James Bond first person shooter, "Nightfire" is one of the lower-quality 007 games. Full of little problems and annoyances, 007 Nightfire is a lackluster effort to continue the Bond franchise.

24 Video Game PS2 star
If you've got a PS2 or PS3 and love the TV series 24 with Keifer Sutherland, the 24 game is worth taking a look at. Just know that the game isn't perfect.

Ace Combat Zero - The Belkan War star
Ace Combat Zero is a prequel to the Ace Combat series, You get fully up to date graphics and gameplay, while finding out what happened to set up the wars in the Ace Combat series.

Ape Escape 3 PS2 star
Apes have taken over the world ... again. A group of young kids are the only hope for saving the world from turning into mindless couch potatoes.

Assassin's Creed Revelations star
Assassin's Creed Revelations is yet another member of the Assassin's Creed family. If you're a fan of Assassin's Creed, you'll enjoy immersing yourself in the world. If you detested Assassin's Creed, this won't change your mind.

Batman Arkham Asylum PS3 star
I'm on a Batman kick so I decided to revisit Batman Arkham Asylum, which I finished back in 2009, to see how it holds up against Arkham City, the newer release. Arkham Asylum is still a great game, and worth having! Here's why.

Beyond Good and Evil star
In Beyond Good and Evil, Jade is a protective woman who investigates the goings-on on her planet. There is fighting, picture-taking and puzzle solving everywhere!

Champions Return to Arms - PS2 star
A hack-and-slash game set in the universe of the online game Everquest, "Return to Arms" does for Everquest what "Dark Alliance" did for the Baldur's Gate series. Return to Arms is the sequel to "Champions of Norrath", which was similarly aimed at a hack-and-slash crowd.

Dark Cloud star
Looking for a fun combo of Zelda, dungeon crawl, sim game with some rhythm and fishing thrown in? Dark Cloud is right up your alley.

Dark Cloud 2 star
Dark Cloud 2 picks up where the original left off - but adds in so many enhancements, mini-games and improvements that itīs far more than just a sequel.

Dark Souls - PS3 star
The spiritual sequel to the cult hit "Demon's Souls", "Dark Souls" combines the challenging hack-and-slash gameplay of its predecessor with a more open world and greater difficulty.

Demon's Souls - PS3 star
An action-RPG that prides itself on its difficulty, Demon's Souls is not a game for the faint-hearted. However, for a player willing to overcome a few hardships, Demon's Souls is a well-made, well-executed, highly enjoyable game.

Disgaea Hour of Darkness PS2 star
Disgaea Hour of Darkness PS2 begins with Laharl, the young prince of the Netherworld, awakening after a 2 year "nap" to discover his father is dead and his kingdom is in ruins.

Dragon's Dogma Review star
Dragon's Dogma is a D&D style adventure game set in a massive landscape, with a variety of classes available. It is quite immersive and fun.

Drakengard 2 - PS2 star
The successor to Square-Enix's 2004 game, Drakengard 2 (released 2006) is a hack and slash game similar to both Dynasty Warriors with combat against massive groups, and Panzer Dragoon, with aerial combat on the back of a dragon.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim PS3 star
We adore the game Skyrim as a game. We've been playing it on the PC fairly steadily. However, the PS3 version has numerous flaws with it which seriously affect gameplay enjoyment.

Enter the Matrix PS2 Game star
The hottest movie has become an action-adventure game for several console platforms. Just how good is this Matrix Reloaded tie-in game?

Eternal Ring star
Iīm a huge RPG fan, and got this immediately for the PS2. You are Cain, son of a noble father who wishes to help the King. A typical beginning, and unfortunately the first-person shooter graphics are also of Playstation-One quality.

Evergrace star
Evergrace is a traditional action/RPG game that suffers because it is one of the first releases for the new PlayStation 2. It is expected to contain high quality graphics and sound, and unfortunately it has neither.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2 Curse of the Crimson Elixir star
Fullmetal Alchemist 2 Curse of the Crimson Elixir continues the Fullmetal Alchemist gameplay. You are the two brothers, hunting through the world for the philosopher's stone.

Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel star
Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel lets you play as a pair of brothers who practice the art of alchemy. This magic-like system lets them create weapons from nearby objects and adds interest to their battles.

Genji - Days of the Blade PS3 star
Genji Days of the Blade is probably most notorious for its silly E3 demonstration. The speaker talked about how it portrayed authentic feudal Japanese battles - involving Giant Enemy Crabs :)

Graffiti Kingdom - Drawing Fun star
Graffiti Kingdom is an incredibly fun game for all ages, even though itīs aimed at kids. You can draw your own 3D characters and use them in the game!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets star
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is now a computer game thatīs out for the PC as well as PS2 and other platforms. While they could have sold millions even with an awful game, this one is pretty good.

Harvest Moon - Save the Homeland star
Harvest Moon is a classic farm building game where you sow your crops, feed your cows and lead a quiet, peaceful life. This new version kicks up the graphics a notch!

Heroes of Might and Magic : Dragon Bone Staff star
A 2001 continuation of the "Heroes of Might and Magic" fantasy tactics series, "Quest for the Dragon Bone Staff" has unfortunately been reduced in magnitude by the sheer age of its style.

i-Ninja PS2 star
I-Ninja is a cute little platformer that is clearly similar to games such as Ratchet & Clank and Gex. You're a little cartoony ninja, running around odd worlds with your sword and climbing chain.

Ico star
Ico is a fun, non-violent game for the PS2 that is a combination of puzzle solving and lovely graphics.

Jak 3 - Light and Dark star
Jak 3 is the end of the Jak trilogy, and gives Jak and his sidekick Daxter the largest world ever to explore. Jak can now use both Light and Dark eco powers, too!

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy star
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is brought to you by the company that made Crash Bandicoot. It shows the same playful, all-ages fun adventure style. Definitely lots of fun!

Jak II - Sequel to Jak and Daxter star
Jak of Jak and Daxter fame is back again. Jak has been in prison for 2 years, tortured and infused with dark powers. By the time Daxter rescues him, heīs ... different ...

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing - PS2 star
A 2004 third-person shooter, "James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing" is another title in EA's video game adaptations of the James Bond series. Filled with gadgets, cars, and women, Everything or Nothing is a fairly decent game in the Bond series.

Journey PS3 Review star
"Journey" is less a game and more an "experience"; its short length and simple mechanics are largely ignorable due to its interesting aesthetics and concept.

Lair - Playstation 3 star
A dragon-based flying game, similar to Drakengard or Panzer Dragoon, "Lair" was touted as the cutting-edge hit for the PS3. Does it measure up?

Lifeline - Voice Controlled Video Game star
Lifeline is a voice controlled video game for the PS2. You help a waitress investigate a space station, killing aliens and rescuing guests.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring star
A new Lord of the Rings RPG is out for the PS2, XBox and other platforms. This one is based on the FIRST BOOK. How well does the first book in the trilogy translate to a role playing game?

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers star
Lord of the Rings fans are thrilled that a SECOND game about Lord of the Rings is out already - this one based on the movie!

Mace Griffin : Bounty Hunter star
Mace Griffin - Bounty Hunter takes place in 2412, when humans have encountered aliens. Your job is to handle police duties in the outer reaches of the universe.

Mirror's Edge Review star
Mirror's Edge is a fairly unique game that's all about the gameplay style. You are running, jumping, sliding, and moving towards a goal, no matter what the obstacles.

Orphen star
I love role playing games, and the Playstation 2 graphics were incredible on some of the other games weīve played. When I popped Orphen into the CD player, I was really expecting something spectacular.

Prince of Persia : Warrior Within star
Prince of Persia : Warrior Within for the PS2 is a darker sequel to the original Prince of Persia game. Where the first game was light and almost musical in its fluid grace, this latest Persia game is dark, violent, and has throbbing heavy-guitar soundtrack.

Ratchet and Clank star
Cel shaded graphics and amazingly fun platform play highlight this great game for the PS2. Insomniac shows again why they are the king of console game makers.

Ratchet and Clank 2 - Going Commando star
Iīm a HUGE huge fan of Ratchet and Clank. As soon as Going Commando game out we grabbed a copy - and have been playing it non-stop ever since! Talk about a great sequel!

Ratchet and Clank 3 - Up Your Arsenal star
The Ratchet and Clank series is one of the best all around gaming fun on the market. The games are long but interesting, you can replay them countless times, and now itīs online too!

Ratchet and Clank Future : Tools of Destruction star
The first Ratchet and Clank game on the PS3, "Tools of Destruction" keeps true to Ratchet and Clanks' roots in a lot of ways. Fans of the series will enjoy more madcap action that previous games have delivered, buffed up with improved graphics and physics courtesy of the PS3.

Ratchet Deadlocked Review star
We really love the Ratchet and Clank series of games, with the gameplay, humor and general mayhem. Deadlocked is NOT an adventure game like the others - it's a gladiator combat game.

Red Dead Redemption - PS3 star
More than a normal sandbox game, Red Dead Redemption uses a lot of specific features and stylistic choices from the GTA series.

Spyro 3 - Year of the Dragon star
This is the third in the Spyro-the-dragon action game series, and itīs definitely the best. In addition to Spyro you get to control a number of other characters, each with its own moves. Agent 9, the Space Monkey, is perhaps my favorite!

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly star
Iīve been a huge fan of Spyro the Dragon for many years. This is the first release of Spyro for the PS2, and is made by a new company.

Super Dragon Ball Z -PS2 star
Yet another fighting game representing the Dragon Ball Z series, Super Dragon Ball Z does little to distinguish itself from its fellow DBZ games.

The Hobbit for the PS2 star
The Lord of the Rings trilogy has been getting quite popular in the past few years. It was inevitable that the original story - of Bilbo Baggins finding the ring - would become a new computer game.

Timeshift - PS3 star
Timeshift is a first person shooter for the PS3 that combines Half Life 2's dystopian future with Prince of Persia's time-changing abilities.

Tokyo Jungle - PS3 star
A survival game with a unique concept, Tokyo Jungle is set in a future devoid of humans, where nature has reclaimed the urban center of Tokyo.

True Crime : New York City - PS2 star
The sequel to True Crime: Streets of LA, "True Crime New York City" takes the main idea of Grand Theft Auto and changes some key element; for example, the main character is a cop, rather than a criminal, and the game takes place in a map that is based on the actual NYC.

Uncharted - Drake's Fortune star
We adore the Drake series of video games. After having played the series quite a bit, we decided to go back and play the original to see how it's held up.

Uncharted 3 - PS3 star
The latest in the Uncharted series of adventure-shooters, Uncharted 3 provides more of the same content that the first two games brought.

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse - PS2 star
A beat-em-up game set in the X-Men Universe, X-Men Legends II changes the plot from X-Men Legends - whereas the first had the X-Men battling Magneto, the second introduces the villain Apocalypse and forces the two groups to team up against him.
