Roley and the Rock Star – Book Review

Roley and the Rock Star – Book Review
It’s going to be a very hot day today while Bob and his machines take care of two big jobs. One is to make a pond in Mr. Lazenby’s backyard, and the other is to work in the park by the nature trail.

Roley and the Rock Star by Melissa Farrell, and Hot Animation

Making the pond in Mr. Lazenby’s backyard is going to be pretty awesome. Lennie Lazenby is the lead singer in the Lazers and they are Roley’s favorite band. He seems like a really cool guy.

But when Wendy, Muck and Lofty arrive at the park they first install a sign so people will know it’s a nature path and that they can follow it to see all kinds of plants and animals. Quacking things are scaring Lofty and he has to keep a close look out while Muck and Wendy are building a fence. More ducks appear! They make an effort to take them back to the water, but when the get there they discover the pond has gone dry.

I wonder if they would like to live in the pond that Bob just built for Mr. Lazenby? Mr. Lazenby says “that would be cool” and then brings out his guitar and sings and plays for them.

Note: All the Bob the Builder books are from my personal library.

Bob the Builder is a British animated children’s TV show. In the original series Bob is a building contractor and along with his colleague Wendy and other neighbors and friends and their work vehicles and equipment fix things (all made of clay).. In every episode Bob and his group renovate, construct and repair things. Any project that needs to be done can be done by Bob and his team.
Bob’s catchphrase is “Can we fix it?” and with the conflict resolution, cooperation and socialization taught in each episode we discover that “Yes they can!”
