A number of years ago, while researching Cajun style cooking for a contest (which she didn’t win!), Sandie discovered a whole new world and culture, beyond red beans and rice. Both Sandie and her partner, Roy Judd, were immediately drawn to the flavorful food, the passionate music, the unique history, and the colorful people of the Bayou. They have enjoyed many Cajun and Creole meals at home and in restaurants, from hush puppies to Sandie’s favorite -- gator on a stick (yes – real alligator).
Now, as one of the founders of the online gourmet and specialty food store
The Posh Gourmet, Sandie and Roy travel extensively, learning about and tasting new foods in order to bring them to the tables of their family, friends, and customers. Although their focus has been to grow their business, their long term goal is to share what they have learned about food and wine and show people just how easy it is to add a ´gourmet touch´ to everyday life.
Through her Cajun and Creole site, Sandie will introduce you to delicious new flavors, fun new places, and some truly beautiful folks.
