Maisy Goes to School

Lucy Cousins writes Maisy Goes to School. The little mouse attends preschool. Children between two and five-years-old enjoy the familiar childhood activities. Kids who have not attended school will love to discover the school activities. The lift-the-flap picture book published by Candlewick has fourteen pages.

Maisy Mouse goes to school. In the classroom, she paints, plays in the playhouse, dresses up, writes a story, Also, she feeds the fish in the classroom aquarium. Maisy and classmates learn to add and subtract.

Children enjoy reading and viewing Maisy Mouse doing familiar childhood activities. Maisy Goes Swimming and Maisy’s Nature Walk explore other childhood activities. Toddlers and older kids love the bright primary colors. The lift-the-flaps and pull tabs engage them in the story.

Parents and teachers love the large black print. Small children can easily see the words. They use the bright colors to teach the basic colors. Lucy Cousins’ illustrations show familiar objects that children can identify. Ms. Cousins outlines Maisy Mouse and the objects in black. It gives everything a distinctive shape. Also, parents whose child has not attended preschool, Maisy Goes to School, is a good picture book for them to learn what happens there. There is a Spanish edition, too.

Children learn opposites in Maisy Big, Maisy Small. There is a Spanish edition.
