How To Know God by Deepak Chopra

'The Soul's Journey into the Mystery Of Mysteries' as the book is subtitled, leads step by step, by cause and effect reasoning, on the search for and ultimate attainment of communion with God.

The book is divided into 6 chapters covering diverse examples of how we are expansive beyond borders of the physical world, such as having great talents and insights: 1. A Real and Useful God; 2. Mystery of Mysteries; 3. Seven Stages of God; 4. A Manual for Saints; 5. Strange Powers; 6. Contacting God.

Being a western, and also an Ayurvedic physician, plus a human whose words spark of personal joy gives Dr. Chopra an edge in putting together this 319 page guidebook on reaching and living in full potential. He convinces the reader he knows what he's talking about.

In essence, Dr. Chopra presents the journey to fulfillment and communion as going from a 'stage 1' fear-based separation of man and God, to a 'stage 7' feeling of no separation between man and God.

I'm inspired by Dr. Chopra's quote from Rumi in Chapter 3. Stage 6. God of Miracles:
"Oh God
I have discovered love!
How marvelous, how good, how beautiful it is! ...
I offer my salutation
To the spirit of passion that aroused and excited this whole universe
And all it contains."

I recommend How To Know God by Deepak Chopra as a further aid in understanding how humanity is an integral part of all that is, from the tiniest speck to infinite joy. Deepak Chopra is world renowned and an inspiration no matter what topic he writes on, and this book is no exception!
