Dance Meditation combines the fun of dancing with a time for rest, relaxation, and quiet time to think about solutions to any problems.
Also, to go to a story (in English and Dutch translation) about Anneke and Hans, 9 year old twins in Holland learning a dance meditation from nature click here.

For this series the dance meditation is divided into 3 parts, which are done in this order:
1. Stretching Exercises
2. Dancing
3. Meditation Time
Time:
10 minutes for stretching exercises; 5-10 minutes for dancing; 5-10 minutes for quiet meditation.
Preparation:
Dance meditation can be done by yourself or in a group. Wait an hour after eating to begin. Wear comfortable clothes; shoes are okay.
You'll need space to move around, such as a large room, or the center of a room with furniture pushed to the sides, or outdoors.
Have your piece of music set up and ready to play as you begin your stretching exercises and continuing for your dancing. Turn music off during your time for quiet meditation.
If you get out of breath while dancing just sit down and begin your quiet time.
