Anger Management - Analyzing; Processing
Guest Author - Susan Kramer

In processing, we take in, mull over, and come up with something different. And in that middle space of digesting and integrating we may suffer indigestion by only partially understanding and analyzing.

Facing anger issues takes courage and energy, but the processing can be facilitated by living each moment for the common good. This attitude flushes out discrepancies between our words and actions.

Meditation

Sit comfortably, eyes closed, hands folded in lap. Calm the body and mind by doing some regular even breathing, such as 2 counts to breathe in and 2 counts to breathe out. Just follow the pattern without saying the numbers.

Now, while sitting quietly and breathing easily, here are some ideas for reflection -

As we live in line with our highest thoughts and words, we purify our mind - pushing out undigested remnants of our past. As old issues surface, they can be burned up by our most current consciousness of what living for the common good means.

Taking time to tear apart issues into manageable sections is easier than wallowing in feeling overwhelmed, and then doing nothing.

If you can identify one issue that leads to feeling and acting angry - use that as your stepping stone to getting to the root of your anger. Step by step analyze and process till you're feeling in harmony within - reflected in daily living by caring and kind actions.

After your meditation, take time to write out just one aspect to work on. Next meditation pick apart another piece of the issue. And so on in future meditations.

Take a deep breath and stretch out, calmer and refreshed.
