Anger Management - Finding Contentment

Being content with what we have at this moment has advantages. We can enjoy happiness right in the present moment, without stressing over attaining some elusive thing in the future.

By being content with who we are at this moment, but also being open to improving ourselves as each moment in time arrives, we enjoy each moment to the fullest.

Meditation for Reflection

Sit comfortably. Right while reading this, take a deep breath in - let it out. This is the present. And whatever situations are humming around us, and in our mind, need not intrude upon our underlying base of contentment with who we are, and what we have materially.

Underlying our relationships in the world is the relationship with our self, remaining the 100% primary companion for our entire lives.

For fullness and contentment moment to moment combine prayer, meditation or reflection, with appreciation and kindness.

Contentment lies not in achieving a certain relationship, or wealth beyond daily sustenance. Contentment is our own attitude of appreciation for what we are and have at this very moment.

As an example, if we walk into a store and see something we want but cannot afford, we create a stress in ourselves. And stress multiplies. And if the latest object breaks before it's even paid for we may become angry at ourselves or another. Being content eliminates a lot of stress.

To finish your meditation, take another deep breath, stretch, and keep in mind that this moment's contentment is the greatest wealth.

"Contentment holds the content
of all happiness."
