Super Bowl Burger Recipe
Guest Author - Jennifer Murray

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground white turkey meat
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup scallions
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 slices low-fat cheese

    Directions
In a large bowl, combine the turkey meat, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs and scallions. Form 4 patties. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat until hot. Add the patties to the hot pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Flip over and add the soy sauce. Cover pan and allow to simmer until patties are cooked through. Remove lid and place one slice cheese on each patty and allow to melt. Place on oven steamed or toasted whole grain buns and serve with your favorite condiments, including ketchup, light mayo or light miracle whip, mustard, onions, and tomatoes.

Since grilling is a favorite past time during Super Bowl season, you could grill your burgers instead of cooking them in a skillet.
