"CHAKRA CHATTER"
Good Saturday friends!
Since this is the last weekend in February, I did not want to let Black History Month end without posting an article honoring the people from the very interesting and culture-rich continent of
Africa.
West African Yoga may not be something you have heard very much about, as it is only practiced by a small group of people around the world, but its emphasis on connecting to our inner self, the world and the Universe at large through sound is a concept that is indeed very close to Indian Yogic teachings and something I hope all of you will find as fascinating as I do!
After reading the article, please come into the Yoga forum to discuss your thoughts about it. I love to hear from my readers!
I wish you a very pleasant, peaceful weekend!
Stay healthy,

"West African Yoga"
A type of Yoga that is little known, and only practiced today by a small number of people is West African Yoga. What may surprise you is how the basic beliefs of the Africans so echo the traditional Indian Yogic teachings, in particular Nada Yoga, which is a centuries-old metaphysical system.
