The Tooth Book

The Tooth Book
The Tooth Book(Bright and Early Books for Beginning Readers) is by Theo LeSieg. Theo LeSieg is Dr. Seuss’ pen name when he writes the story, but another artist illustrates the book. Joseph(Joe) Mathieu illustrates the picture book. The hardback is five by seven inches. The artistic duo intends The Tooth Book for kids between four and eight-years-old.

Theo LeSieg/Dr. Seuss writes a humorous book to teach kids - the importance of teeth. He starts with baby teeth. Here, he shares the ins and outs that lead to permanent teeth. LeSieg stresses proper oral care to preserve them for a life time.

Now, of course, Theo LeSieg does not share this information like a dentistry text book. His text has humor and rhymes to reveal smiling teeth. He tells teeth are handy. No teeth, no chewing hot dogs, pizza and peanuts! What a calamity for small kids! He throws in another zinger for boys. However, at this young age they will not appreciate it. Teeth are not only for chewing, but keeping a wife! Funny rhymes claim clams and snails are unhappy because they have no teeth to chew.

The Tooth Book(Bright and Early Books for Beginning Readers) by Theo Lesieg lives up to its title. The story is easy to understand with short and simple sentences. Kids learn a few facts about teeth. Nature only gives two sets of teeth. The last set, thirty-two teeth, sixteen on top, sixteen on bottom, has to last for life. Nothing brings a smile to parents and caregivers faces as a bright, beginning reader.

The Tooth Book(Bright and Early Board Book(TM) by Theo LeSieg(Dr. Seuss) is available for infants and toddlers. Little ones learn about teeth, their uses and care.
