Make your own Mixes, Condiments, Salad Dressings, and More!

Here's recipes to make homemade versions of popular seasoning blends, condiments, salad dressings, baking mix, soup mix, pancake mix, substitutes for egg and dairy products and more.

These recipes can be used as substitutions when you run out of the real thing. After trying some of the recipes, however, you might want to use them again and again instead of buying the brand names. You may think the food made from these recipes tastes better than the products you've been buying or making from your old favorite mixes. The recipes are simple to make and in most cases they'll cost less than buying the ready to use products in a grocery store.

You can also modify the recipes and create lighter, healthier versions of some of your favorite mixes by reducing the amount of salt and using lite of low fat versions of some ingredients.

For best results, always start with fresh ingredients. Store homemade mixes in airtight containers and use within 3 months.
