Beer Fox Tip of the Week:
When brewing German Pilsener, avoid crystal malts or specialty grains that add non-fermentable sugars to the beer. You can substitute a portion of malt extract with dextrose, or corn sugar, and this will allow the beer to attenuate enough to result in a crisp mouthfeel and dry finish. Do not use more than one pound of dextrose, however, because the flavor will be altered, resulting in a residual DMS profile.
Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:
A married man spent the weekend playing golf and partying with the boys. When he finally returned home on Sunday night, his wife really got on his case and stayed on it.
After a few of hours of swearing and screaming, his wife paused and pointed at him and made him an offer. "How would you like it if you didn't see me for a couple of days?"
The husband couldn't believe his luck, so he looked up, smiled and said, "That would suit me just fine!!"
Monday went by, and the man didn't see his wife.
Tuesday and Wednesday went by and he still didn't see her.
Come Thursday, the swelling went down a bit and he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

Craft Beer of the Week Award
Beatification Aged in Oak Barrels - Russian River Brewing Company, Santa Rosa, California, USA
Style: American Wild Ale, 5.5% ABV
A light yellow, hazy, orangey body supports a frothy off-white head, while a geuezey aroma wafts into the air. Tart, sour notes entice me to drink in the aroma a second time, and a third. A hint of Brett, wood and breadiness lingers, and pulls me in. Tart lemons, green apples, and lingering bread and orange peel pucker my moth with a delightful sensation. Superb!
Cheers!
