May 30 2010 Yoga Newsletter

Good Sunday to you all! I hope the weather is treating you very well and your weekend is fun and relaxing

I've added two new articles to the Yoga site, both of them are done from a seated floor position. They're excellent for stretching your back, neck and arms. You'll feel energized and emotionally grounded as well. Both of them are easy to accomplish, and my instructions as always include suggested modifications for common problems.

There's a very exciting new Facebook page for the Yoga site! It's brand new as of today, and I'm hoping that all of you come in and be part of it. I'll be posting links to all new articles, and some "FB only" tips and information that you may find helpful.

Here's the link to the "Yoga At BellaOnline" Page on Facebook;

Beginning this week I'll be posting a "Yoga Secrets" paragraph to this newsletter as my way of thanking you for following my work. I hope you enjoy it!

Seated forward bends are good for stretching your lower back and when done properly the stretch can extend down as far as your hamstrings. They produce a calming effect on both the body and the mind and bring Yin (feminine) energy to the fore in your thinking. Perform seated forward bends after back bends, twists and side bends to release any tension in your lower back and return your spine to neutral position. Since you'll be in such good spirits after -these asanas can be useful for anyone who plans to propose or ask a special someone out on a date!

"Easy Pose Forward Bend"

This asana can easily be done in your office, so you can take a break from working at the desk!

"Seated Yoga Mudra Pose"

Known as "The Seal Of Yoga", this asana can make you feel brand new from the waist up to the top of your head! It's beginner-friendly and you can learn it and be practicing in minutes.

To participate in free, fun online discussions, this site has a community forum all about Yoga located here -

I hope to hear from all of you soon! I welcome your feedback and questions!
