Maisy Goes to the Playground

Lucy Cousins writes Maisy Goes to the Playground. The little mouse goes out to play. Children between two and five-years-old enjoy the familiar childhood activities. The lift-the-flap picture book published by Candlewick Press has fourteen pages.

Maisy goes to the playground. She slides on the slide. Also, she swings, wades in the pool and plays in a sandbox. Children view a happy Maisy while they learn the names of the playground objects. They will look forward to playing and recounting their playground adventures.

Children enjoy reading and viewing Maisy Mouse doing familiar childhood activities. Maisy Goes Swimming and Maisy’s Nature Walk explore other childhood activities. Toddlers and older kids love the bright primary colors. The lift-the-flaps and pull tabs engage them in the interactive picture book.

Parents and teachers love the large black print. Small children can easily see the words. Adults use the bright colors to teach the basic colors. Count the playground equipment to increase kids counting skills. Lucy Cousins’ illustrations show familiar toys that children can identify. Ms. Cousins outlines Maisy Mouse and the objects in black. It gives everything a distinctive shape.

Lucy Cousins writes Maisy Goes Swimming. Children learn the names of articles of clothing.
