Meal Plan Software The main reason meal plan software is one of the best fatloss solutions for people who struggle to eat healthy and lose weight is accountability! Accountability is often key for those who can't stay on track. This is the reason diet groups, clubs, forums, and online sites are so popular and why the members on these sites are so successful. But what if you're not a big groupie then what do you do? Being accountable is still important and you can learn to do it for yourself. In some ways this can be even better for you in the long run because you won't rely on anyone but yourself to stay on track. Below you'll find some great tips from registered dietitian and fitness professional Jayson Hunter creator of Meal Plans 101 and the The Dress Reduction Diet. Jayson designed his meal plan software and eating plans for clients who were tired of trying to figure out what to eat. Here are his top tricks for staying on track and getting great fatloss results whether you get use his software of not! Map Out Your Meals If you need to get from point a to point b and you have never been there before then more than likely you would use a map. Jayson explains that fatloss is just like driving. "If you want to start building habits then you need to follow a plan. Habits are formed by repetitively following a prescribed plan. Therefore map out your meals every day and follow them. If you follow your plan everyday for 2-3 weeks you will form habits that become part of your daily routine and you won't even notice it." Record what you eat and drink. Every client I've ever worked with truly believed they were eating healthy until they started tracking their food and then the truth was right there on paper. Jayson agrees and says "you will be amazed at what you consume and not even realize you did it until you write it down and reflect back on the day. Keeping a food log is critical to your success because if modifications need to be made you need something to be able to evaluate and analyze. If changes aren't happening like you had hoped the answer can usually be found in the food and or exercise journal." Follow the 90% rule. Nobody can eat super healthy and perfect all the time and this is why you need to figure out how often you can stray from your healthy habits while still losing fat. Jayson explains that "if you can follow your plan 90% of the time then that is enough to have success with weight loss. If you find yourself breaking the rules more than 90% of the time then your chances of failing increase significantly. Lose the all or nothing attitude and just take one day at a time. Reflect on your day before you go to bed at night and instead of getting down on yourself because you weren't perfect. Just set goals to accomplish next day that will correct those errors."
