Eating salads for weightloss can help boost metabolism satisfy your appetite, and help you burn fat faster as long as you are including the right ingredients. The 3 healthy salad tips below shows you how to make a healthy, great tasting weightloss salad that will help you shed fat faster.

Weightloss Salad Tip 1: Mix Your Greens. Leafy greens are super low in calories and provide a variety of nutrients including fiber, carotenes, calcium, iron, folic acid, phytochemicals, magnesium, potassium, and calcium. They also provide a variety of tastes from buttery to sweet to earthy. The more you mix the more nutrients and flavors your body get and the better more effective your body becomes at burning fat. Try mixing 3-4 greens like spinach, arugula, romaine, and watercress or buy a premixed bag of greens at the store.
Salad Bar Tip: Dress Your Own Greens. Pass on the dressed greens and dress your own salad at the very end. This ensures you use just 1 tbsp. of fat free dressing, or oil and vinegar, or just lemon.

Weightloss Salad Tip 2: Always Add Protein. Protein is crucial because your body needs it to build lean muscle, boosts metabolism because your body works harder to digest it, can be low calorie, keeps you full longer, and keeps blood sugar under control which prevents cravings and diet meltdowns. You have many options including hard boiled eggs, grilled beef, fish, or chicken, low fat cottage cheese, lowfat ham or turkey slices, tofu, chickpeas or beans. Remember the less processed the better.
Salad Bar Tip: Check The Soup Bar. If you can't find your protein of choice at the salad bar check the soups which often include chunks of chicken, beans, or other proteins.

Weightloss Salad Tip 3: Make It Ultra Colorful. The more colors you include in your salad the more nutrients your body gets and the more effectively your body burns fat. Brighten up the same old boring salad with other veggies, proteins, and even fruit. If you are afraid to experiment try adding in one new ingredient each time. Keep trying things until you find 5 new colors.
Salad Bar Tip: Switch Salad Plates. Go with a friend or partner and make each other salads. This will give you a different perspective on healthy and you may find that you love something you never thought of trying.
