Belly Fat to Belly Flat

Belly Fat to Belly Flat author Dr. C.W. Randolph has been helping women lose stubborn belly fat for years. His book goes into detail about out of balance hormones that cause stubborn belly fat and how healthy eating and vigorous exerise can work if other factors are addressed. Check out 3 ways hormones wreak havoc on your body and how to get control so you can lose the stubborn belly fat.

Belly Fat Problem #1: Estrogen Dominance
According to Dr. Randolph high estrogen levels "cause an increase in thyroid binding globulin" making the thyroid dysfunctional, impairing your metabolism, and making weight loss very difficult. High estrogen levels also cause tissue around the belly area to retain water which only adds bulk to an already expanding belly. The primary solution is increasing progesterone to balance out estrogen.

Belly Fat Problem #2: The Stress Effect
Dr. Randolph explains that when you are stressed (most of the time for some women), "your adrenal glands produce four neurotransmitters (or stress-managing chemicals): epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol and DHEA. In the right amounts, these chemicals will support your body and enable it to remain in good health. But when you're under any type of stress on a regular basis, your adrenal glands become over-taxed and produce too much of these chemicals-leaving you exhausted, mentally drained, and irritable". The solution is rest, a balanced estrogen free diet, and the supplements like DHEA, B complex 100, adrenal boost, etc.

Belly Fat Problem #3: The Insulin Connection
To make matters more complicated Dr. Randolph explains that "a decrease in progesterone that results in estrogen dominance leads to a more rapid and more frequent release of insulin that stimulates uncontrollable sugar cravings that cause women to eat more calories even when they are not hungry". The solution is to decreasing estrogen dominance so insulin production stabilizes and cravings disappear.
