The Yoga site on Bella Online is designed to help you learn about the benefits of yoga, begin a yoga practice, and/or continue to develop as a student of yoga. The mind-body exercise of yoga offers individual and collective benefits to all who chose to practice. Each week, I will post a new article that will help to support you, inspire you, provide you with new ideas, and explore yoga related issues, and review yoga related products and services.
There is also a forum where you can ask questions, share ideas with other yoga practitioners, and let others know what you have learned and/or experienced.
I meet many people who express an interest in beginning yoga but are not sure how to get started. Many others share the misconception that you have to be young, fit, and/or flexible to do yoga. As a non-athlete who began yoga in my mid-thirties for relief of severe back pain and sciatica, I want to help show that yoga is for everyone, regardless of current age, health or fitness level.
I am passionate about sharing yoga with all who are interested because it has been such a positive influence in my life and want to help you experience its powerful benefits however I can. The articles and ideas that I post on Bella Online come from my experience as a woman, severe back pain sufferer, yoga student, yoga practitioner, and yoga teacher, and from many others in the Bella Online community who also share their knowledge and experience.
