It’s becoming obvious that people who are not logical are now trying to run the government. You may think politics have nothing to do with relationships. You’re wrong. Political decisions affect all relationships directly or indirectly. This is war: life sustaining budgets vs. ideology differences.

When you have a falling out or disagreement with a friend you can feel disconnected and alone. One of the best things you can do is to take a good look at the friendship before making any decisions related to it. What else can you do about it?

Life seems to run in seasons and cycles. Of course there are the four seasons of winter, summer, spring and fall. There are the cycles of the moon. There are seasons that revolve around specific sports. And unfortunately there is Tax Season. But what does that have to do with personal relationships?

So you’ve had a bad day and you don’t know what you can possibly do to make that bad day disappear from your mind. Suddenly you know – you decide to have a chocolate chip cookie, but just one chocolate chip cookie; but which one? Cookies are a lot like relationships you have choices.

Are you a Lifetime Movie junkie? Do some of the characters remind you of yourself or someone you know? Do you think life imitates movies or do movies imitate life? What would the title of your Lifetime Movie be? Would it be upbeat and inspirational or a poor, poor pitiful me movie title?

There are all kinds of rivalries. Some are healthy and some are not but they definitely exist. There are rivalries between siblings, between partners, between guys for girls and girls for guys, between cities like Pittsburgh and Baltimore and between teams like the Steelers and the Ravens and so on.

In just a blink of an eye another new year will be starting. Every New Year we are prompted to make resolutions or promises to ourselves. We all set out with wonderful good intentions but often fail. Why not try an alternative? Throw all the balls up in the air and see which ones you catch.

It is said that to err is human, to forgive is divine. That’s an interesting concept and a very open minded way to behave but I’m not sure that it’s always logical. It seems like these days there are just some things that people do to each other that are unforgivable. Are you the culprit or victim?
