Ginkgo Biloba
Guest Author - Carolyn Chambers Clark, RN, EdD

Gingko biloba is a tree that originated in China thousands of years ago and now grows throughout the world. The extract from its fan-shaped leaves is a popular herb product. Scientific journals report its ability to enhance blood circulation to the brain and other body parts, improve memory, relieve muscle pain, reduce high blood pressure (hypertension), inhibit blood clotting (so not helpful if you bleed easily or are going to have surgery), stop ringing in the ears (tinnitus), vertigo, hearing loss, impotence, Raynaud's disease and may slow Alzheimer's.
