Carry On Luggage Rules for Flights Today

Carry On Luggage Rules for Flights Today
Arriving at an airport with items that are necessary for your child's comfort, care and security only to find that new or updated rules prohibit the container or quantity can cause more frustration and anxiety in your travel day. The Transportation Security Admnistration (TSA) has set up a web page for current information about carry on luggage restrictions, airport security, and other issues related to any changes brought on by security threats to air travelers.

TSA Advice for those Traveling with Children who have Special Needs provides information specific to families of children with disabilities, chronic health conditions or other challenges, with a link to specific information for adult travelers with disabilities and medical conditions including teens and your adult son or daughter. The TSA also offers general information and advice for travelling with children.

Families traveling with children who have disabilities, medical conditions, or other special needs can contact the TSA with questions or comments through the website, in writing or by telephone. The TSA and local airport personnel have reportedly been sensitive and helpful to most families traveling with children who have special needs but keeping updated on policies they are developing that will be important for all airline passengers.

Currently available is the TSA Summer Travel Tips brochure and there is the free MyTSA mobile app for round the clock access to the most commonly requested TSA information to get through security and on the plane. There is also a list of Frequently Asked Questions at the TSA website.

The home page featuring the lastest updates for the Transportation Security Administration prohibited items offers email updates when a new item is added to the list.

Explanations about the security screening experience, TSA travel assistants, transporting special items, prohibited items, and more, can be found at the TSA Air Travelers home page at https://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/index.shtm
