Many school districts hold "Kindergarten Roundup" and early registration activities in the Spring of the year, so children can visit their neighborhood schools and districts get an idea of how many children will enroll the following Fall.

Actor Kevin Bacon's foundation will match up to $10,000 in donations to non profits who are supported most often in a month through the webpage, SixDegrees.org.

Only the top six programs are eligible for matching funds, and in March there is an activity program for children with disabilities and their mainstream neighbors in the top ten called Whole Children.

If enough people donate a minimum of ten dollars by the end of this month, this grassroots neighborhood program might be boosted into the top six! It's a fun contest to watch and cheer on small programs that make a big difference in their communities! Read more about it at the Special Needs Children forum.
