About the BellaOnline Mythology Editor

Hi! I´m Elizabeth, your host. I studied religion and philosophy at Barton College and WKU, (with focus on Gnosticism with one of the best scholars in the world, personally and literally, Roger Bullard). This, and a life-long addiction to reading every time I sat down (from the age of 3 on), has given me a broad base of mytho-knowledge and I´m enjoying sharing it with you.

I´ve also been a paralegal off and on for years, starting off at Sen. Obamas´ firm in Chicago, Miner, Barnhill and Galland. I now host a political and music blog for GratefulWeb Blog. Finally got sucked into using my Civil Rights background.

I write about music, folklore and the arts for a variety of reigonal and national print publications, as well as on-line. These have included "Fine Art Magazine", "Northern Virginia Magazine", "South Jersey Magazine" and many others. I´m doing a lot of writing about traditional American music both here and on GratefulWeb

Writing is in my genes. I´m the Great-Niece of pulp fiction writer Norvell Page and the Great-Great-Niece of antebellum novelist Thomas Nelson Page. The familys´ full of writers, but those two are the best known. Norvell wrote the "Spider" series, among other distinctions. My several Greats-Grandfather, John Page, was Jeffersons´ best friend since childhood and is said to have had a hand in an early draft of the Declaration of Independance. Explains a lot.

I´m a singer/songwriter and play guitar and banjo, along with a few wind and rhythm instruments. You can hear some of my own music and check out a blog that seems to attract fairly steady attention as I elaborate on my continuing adventures (and they often reach near mythic proportions), here: Ma´am in Black and the Lost Cause Far more than just a music site. Links to my journalism, and general rantecdotes and Lizicisms, are posted more than routinely.

Last but not least, I´m a poet, started out in Chicago when slam was starting out. An archive of my poetry is here: Poetry Some new stuff is in the love poetry archive here too.
