The Dime Story
This is one of the articles I publish annually. There are times when we turn our lives over to our Higher Power but we lack the absolute trust He hears us. This is not just a story but an "activity" for anyone who is feeling spiritually alone. If you are sincere, you will be truly amazed! Try it!
Step 1 - Managing the Chaos
A New Year requires a look at Step One. We all understand the powerless part of it but are we still able to manage our lives in recovery.
Amends and Recovery
We are in recovery and yet we are still human. Every now and then we revert back to old behaviors. Are we focusing on recovery or just letting life happen?
Summer is usually a time for most of us to feel more relaxed or to have a more casual life style. The season can also be a slippery slope especially if we become a bit lazy in our recovery and forget who we are.
Mother's Day is one of the most celebrated days of the year. Not every woman is a mother but we are all daughters. Examine your own relationship, past or present, with your mom. Are/were you the best daughter you could be?
Spirituality-Back from Hell
Religion and spirituality are very different not only for people in recovery but for everyone. Spirituality is the lifeline that keeps us connected to our Higher Power and to our own recovery.
A Fearless Step Four
Step Four moves us into action. We finally begin to discover who we are and the many "whys" of our behavior. This is one of the few steps that is really all about YOU!
Are You Afraid of Mermaids and Unicorns?
Guest Author, Tracy Todaro, talks about one of the hardest hurdles we face...FEAR! A great article about a subject that I know we all relate to. Thank you, Tracy! Please feel free to email Tracy. Her email appears at the end of the article.
After the Step Three Decision
Step Three is much more than a decision. Turning our will and lives over to a Higher Power takes practice. We'll never be perfect but every time we can let go, we grow spiritually and emotionally.
There is a time for everything. Sobriety and recovery are serious in nature but we don't have to live in intensity. Enjoy life and remember Rule #62.
