What Am I Missing?
It took us so long to get into recovery that the early days of sobriety might seem too good to be true. When life becomes "normal" it might be something unfamiliar to us. We might question our recovery and ask, "what am I missing?"

Remembering My Dad
This is the first Father's Day without my dad. He gave me so much but he also gave me a genetic predisposition to a disease called alcoholism.

Mother/Daughter Day
Mother's Day is one of the most celebrated days of the year. Not every woman is a mother but we are all daughters. Examine your own relationship, past or present, with your mom. Are/were you the best daughter you could be?

Feeling Gratitude
After we are in recovery for a while, it is easy to sometimes lose track of what was important to our sobriety. Gratitude is one of those things. Easy to say what we are grateful for but do we truly feel it.

Addiction and the Workplace
Recovering addicts have much to offer an employer but disclosing your situation may not always be favorable. Use common sense and don't be so quick to wear your recovering heart on your sleeve. Know the difference between honesty and foolishness.

Where We Are Supposed To Be
When we begin recovery we are told that sobriety will change our lives. It does. But there is also a real world. Somehow, though, we always end up exactly where we are supposed to be.

A Fearless Step Four
Step Four moves us into action. We finally begin to discover who we are and the many "whys" of our behavior. This is one of the few steps that is really all about YOU!

We ARE Addicts - Part II
Part II. A continued review and information about an article published in the USC Trojan Family Magazine. Experts continue to do what they can to understand addiction. The article is down-to-earth, rarely clinical, and if nothing else quite interesting in how we are viewed by science.

Cunning, Baffling, and Powerful
An addiction of any type can change our lives and the lives of others in many ways. Being in recovery can be bittersweet. We see the chaos and devastation of addiction but we can also see the importance in connecting with others in recovery.
