In the summer of 1985, I started a life adventure by leaving home for the California coast. I had never even visited California before. It was over 100 degrees driving through the outskirts of Los Angeles with my only belongings jammed into a Mazda hatchback without air conditioning. Although I was unsure of the future, I knew I would never leave the West Coast after my first sight of the Pacific Ocean.
Since then, I have resided in many areas from California to Oregon and Washington, sightseeing in all areas between, including beautiful British Columbia. I currently reside in Oregon and hide in the San Juan Islands at every opportunity.
Travel with me and discover the scenery, cultures, people and history that make up the West Coast. Be prepared, bring some sunscreen and rain gear, who knows where we may end up next.
In my professional life, I have been writing for the horticulture and computer technology fields for over 15 years. Traveling is a welcome escape!
