Two large draft horses pulled a wagon full of jubilant visitors along the oval dirt path at Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. I was delighted to see all of the simple lanterns that lined the pathway, each with a single twinkling candle inside. There was something magical about its simplicity.

South Cape Beach is over a mile of soft sands that are located between Waquoit Bay and Vineyard Sound in Mashpee Massachusetts. In the immediate area there are also acres of salt marshes and dunes, bordered by pine, oak and holly trees.

Shopping in Holyoke Massachusetts is worth the trip. The mall at Ingleside is enormous and houses many fine retailers all under one roof for one stop shopping at its best. Deerfield is right next door, home to the Yankee Candle headquarters, a truly charming place that you wont want to miss!

On the western shores of Penobscot Bay in Maine you will fall in love with the quaint coastal town of Camden. Home of the lookout tower on Mt. Battie and many notable locations from the 1957 movie, Peyton Place,this entire region of Maine is packed full of great places to visit.

I enjoyed the visual presentations of this DVD very much. It didn’t offer a lot of facts about the region, but the aerial views of New England are gorgeous and give a really good representation of what this region is actually like overall. The next best thing to being here in person.
