Need to boost exercise motivation to increase fat loss? Exercise motivation can be a challenge when you're week is busy, stressful, chaotic, or totally exhausting. Those are actually valid excuses for not wanting to workout but that doesn't mean you should give in to them. The workouts tips and tricks below will help you on days when you need a boost and even on days when you're able to workouts but the intensity level isn't there. Some of the tricks are old standbys and others are new and creative. Use one or use them all and you'll start burning more calories and get faster fatloss results within days.
Workout tips: Old standbys - Commit to just 10 min. and allow yourself to stop if you're not into it. The endorphins will probably motivate you to keep going and if not then you exercised for 10 min. which is better than not at all!
Distract Yourself - Listen to good music or watch a fun t.v. show. It's o.k. to zone out of your workout every now and then just to maintain consistency just don't make it a regular thing.Partner Up - If going on another solo run or doing another solo circuit with your ipod on is making you feel lonely then invite a friend or join a class every now and then. Increasing your connection with others while exercising will increase your connection with exercise as well.Embrace Change - Change things up either a lot or a little to combat boredom. Small changes like bootcamp class vs. treadmill running, or vinyasa yoga vs. bikram keep things interesting within boundaries. Big changes like budokon power and agility vs. treadmill running or rock climbing vs. bikram can shock your mind into more productive action.Workout tricks: The new and innovative - Dying to go read that trashy blog post or to catch up with friends on myspace? Make it a reward for getting through your workout. This is how most everything in life works anyway so why not use this to your advantage.
Start Competing - Start trying to break your own running times, your co-worker's bench press, your sisters 2 hour yoga marathon, even your own trainer's push-up record. It's exciting and fun, and why reality shows like Idol are so popular.Forget About Your Body Goals - Enough with the vanity already! Just because you mostly workout to look good doesn't mean you need to focus on that when you workout. Focus on the endorphin rush, the challenge, the fun, the sweat, the reps, or that beautiful inverted triangle pose. The more you tune your mind to what your body is accomplishing the closer you get to that beautiful body goal without having to focus on the superficial stuff.
