Get Lean In 15

If you want a lean, fit, healthy body without spending hours in the gym then quick workouts are a great option. The key to getting great results from these quick workouts is finding a plan that also teaches you how to maximize your efforts. A plan like Jaime Brenkus’ creator of 8 Minute Abs and The Lean Plate outlines exactly this type of plan in his latest book Get Lean in 15: 15 Ways In 15 Days to Shape Up and Slim Down. Empty Your Calories
Brenkus explains the importance of portion control and healthy choices but one of his key tricks to getting fast results is dumping one empty calorie food choice from your diet each day. If you think about it, we all eat more than one type of junk food daily so getting rid of just one thing saves big times calories and really makes a big deficit that leads to increased and rapid fat loss.

Be Sneaky
Quick workouts only work if you increase your overall activity level throughout the day, every day. Brenkus lists dozens of ways to do this including using fewer waste baskets at home, washing dishes vs. using the dishwasher, not using the t.v. remote, going for a walk before everyone gets up in the morning, taking the stairs two steps at a time, standing when reading emails, etc. The more calories you burn with daily activity the faster you see results from your quick workouts.

Stop Thinking
Brenkus believes that attitude has a lot to do with success and explains that it’s normal to have negative thoughts but in order to stop from getting wrapped up in negativity and ultimately self-defeating behavior it’s important to stop and re-direct. He suggest visualizing a red stop sign when negative thoughts pop up then visualizing where you want to be, then visualizing what you will do to get you there.

Deflect Obstacles
Whether it’s lack of motivation, lack of time, fear, or stress, you need to adopt strategies to overcome your obstacles. Brenkus suggest a reward program if you lack motivation, sitting down and scheduling workouts if time is your challenge. He recommends living in the moment if fear of success or failure is your issue or delegating duties if stress is holding you back. The more proactive you are the more successful you are.

Choose 5 upper body exercises plus 5 lower body exercises plus 5 ab & butt exercises. Do 10-15 reps of each twice. It’s that simple.
