Children with Special Needs

December 13 2007 Children with Special Needs Newsletter

Here's the latest article from the Special Needs Children site at BellaOnline.com.

Communicating with Babies
Responding to a baby´s cries and filling their needs teaches them that their attempts to communicate work, that they are loved, and that they are surrounded by people who care deeply about them. An Australian woman with a photographic memory for sound discovered five sounds that babies around the world use to communicate their needs as newborns.

December can be a stressful month due to weather, living up to holiday traditions and expectations, and the usual complications of everyday life. Remember that you are the most important person in the world and deserve calm and contentment, appreciation and consideration. Those may be in short supply only because everyone else is rushing around and overwhelmed ~ so I am sending a virtual hot cocoa and baskets of virtual two hour naps to help you get through. I hope that 2007 brought great joy and hope to you and yours and that 2008 will be merry and amazing, too. ~ Pamela Wilson, editor
