The month of August is upon us! There are back to school sales and clearance prices on summer items in our local stores even though the weather will probably warm through September. It may already have been too warm for too long for many families.

I hope that your children's transition from summer activities, vacations and alternate childcare arrangements and their transitions into the new school year are as easy and wonderful as they deserve.

Don't let go of summer just because school is starting up again in a few weeks - enjoy this time as if you were expecting greatness in all the school administrators, medical professionals, related staff and classmates that our children rely upon to make an effort on their behalf. This might be the year that you are delighted and amazed that all your previous efforts have made this school year a walk in the park. Just in case - try taking a walk in the park as often as possible (don't forget the insect repellent and sunscreen, drinks and snacks...)
