As Mother's Day approaches, we cannot always find the time to reflect on what our own mothers taught us about raising children. Each of us is unique and wonderful, but do we know when our own mothers surrendered to that delightful reality? Many of the accommodations and support we hope to build into our own children's lives are natural extensions of those that were offered to us while we grew up.

I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day, full of art and gifts that even the most talented personal shoppers could not have found.

This month, please take time to write down in our community forum or in a journal no one else will read, what meant the most to you as you were growing up, to honor our mothers, ourselves, and one another. This is a beautiful time of year to thank our children, too, without whom we would never have been awarded the title.
